Because of Harold Camping's Rapture / Judgement Day Prediction. Last Friday 47 year old Lyn Benedetto tried to kill herself and her two daughters. She told her daughters to lie on a bed and proceeded to take a knife to their throats and the herself. A family friend found theme in time and called 911. All there are alive. The kids are OK and the mother is in jail. In a statement to police the mother said,the Tribulation was going to occur and she wanted to prevent her kids from suffering through it.
This was the second Rapture / Judgement Day Prediction that Harold Camping has made. Years ago he said the world would end in 1994. Harold Camping is supposed to make a statement Monday or Tuesday.

Julianne McCrery, 42, was arrested for killing her son. At this point there is speculation that she killed her son because of Harold Camping's Rapture Prediction. I have to point out that it is only speculation at this time, I do think think there has been any official statements released yet. McCrery had a youtube channel with videos of her son.
